This morning Linda and I drove over to Blue Ridge and met Peyton for breakfast. He and Kim were going to go with us to the arts and crafts show up in North Carolina at the folk school. They had decided not to go and stay at home to organize their apartment. Linda and I drove on up and had a nice visit and looked at every thing. She found a few Christmas presents for assorted people. Linda bought stuff and I carried it around! We then drove back to Blue Ridge and had lunch at the Blackberry Ridge restaurant out on 515. It was quite good, Linda had the chicken pot pie and I had the fried chicken salad. Tasty! When we got back home we watched the Alabama vs Kentucky football game and it was pretty good. Alabama won by a field goal, "Roll Tide" and later we went for a walk down the road with the dogs. They love our afternoon walk and Jesse actually starts banging on the front door if we are too late in getting started.
I talked to Jean this afternoon and he sounded great. I was so excited! After being so very ill for so very long, he has come almost completely back to his old self.
