The Maple tree

This morning Barbara called and said that Dick was over his house spliting up the wood from the Maple tree that fell last Summer across the creek on their property. I left immediately to go over and help Dick get the wood prepared. It is always fun to work with Dick because he is so competent and knows what he is doing. The wood is perfect and the best we have ever had. It has been down for four months or more and should be excellent with the old wood that they gave us last year and the year before. They are great neighbors. I wish we were as good as they are. Dave came by and offered to help me stack it up right after Dick dumped it in the driveway but I really was to tired and did not know where I wanted to put it as of yet.
