Yesterday Linda and I drove over to Gainesville for her eye doctor's appointment. We were then going to ride over to Carnesville to see Jean and Ellen at their house after the appointment. The doctor said that Linda's eye was doing very well and looked as though it was progressing on schedule.
When we left the Eye Clinic we went to find gasoline there in Gainesville in order to continue our trip to Carnesville. There was no gas to be found in that town. Since we only had 1/16 of a tank we turned back towards Big Creek. Just this side of Gainesville we found a Kangaroo station that had gotten gas since we had come by earlier. We filled up, needless to say and got back to Big Creek with no problem. We stopped in Dawsonville on the way back and ate lunch at Moe's, welcome to Moe's!!!
Today Linda had to teach and right after lunch she called me to tell me that she had gotten teacher of the year for Oakland Elementary school. I was really excited for her. I didn't even know that a part time teacher could get it. Wow!
