Dinner at Susie's and Gilbert's

Last night Linda and I drove over to Susie's and Gilbert's for dinner in what was the heaviest fog that we have seen in a very long time. We practically had to feel our way to their house. It was difficult to see the sides of the road. The lines are so indistinct that you just cannot see how to stay o the road.

Rebecca was there and what a nice time we had. Susie had chicken salad and a delicious Brie and caramelized apple, walnut topping. she also served the dried tomato, pine nut, basil and garlic dip for toast, that was wonderful, as usual. It was all great! Linda and I brought A fresh picked garden salad with marinated vegetables, radishes and pickled cucumbers. We also brought Broccoli and potato soup. Susie had pecan pie for desert and that was excellent, we brought the leftovers home for breakfast.

It is always fun to be with Susie and Gilbert and especially to get to see "the beautiful Rebecca", who is headed for East Africa tomorrow!
