Saturday

Today Peyton came out and worked on the computer downloading music for his MP3 player. He likes to have it to listen to at work. Linda and I mostly watched ball games in front of the TV by the fireplace. We had a roaring fire most all day and we got to see Georgia beat Auburn. Just barely, however. We have to pull for Georgia for Bric and Janette. And, of course Linda and I both graduated from Alabama!

Before the Alabama/Miss. State game started we went down to the garden and cut most of the rest of the Broccoli. See photo. We also gathered a couple of the Radishes, they keep really well into the winter.

It has rained most of the day and at one point filled up the gutters and the roof valleys with pea sized hail. I had to get up on the roof because if I don't keep the valleys cleaned out it causes water to run down the wall in the TV room. Damnit!

Earlier this afternoon I walked around the yard and took a few photos. The purple Beauty Berry was very nice and the Magnolia was all colored up for the fall. I noticed that it has set buds that will become the flowers for next spring. Winter has taken hold of the area and soon The vestigial signs of Summer will be all but gone. Oh well, I guess that is the way it is supposed to be.
