Hot day!

Another hot day here at Big Creek! I worked in the garden but it was so hot my heart was not in it. The purple Italian Dandelions from last Fall got pulled up but I hate to do away with them because in the Spring they have such beautiful blue blooms. One flowering plant however, makes enough seeds to plant ten acres. We have been having lots of fresh veggies from the garden, small as it is we do get a lot. At this moment we are eating Cucumbers, Squash and numerous herbs. Swiss chard is ready to eat and the Cabbage will be in by this time next week. The Currents are fully ripe and the Gooseberries will be in next week.
